Ayurvedic Herbs to Boost your Immunity

5 grams of neem leaves

How to eat it: Take 5 grams of neem leaves and use a mortar and pestle to crush them into a fine paste. Put it in the back of your throat and swallow it. Take it on an empty stomach and don’t eat or drink anything for an hour.

Neem is good for you because it reduces inflammation, kills bacteria, viruses, and fungi, and kills sperm.

Take neem for no longer than 15 days. Also, pregnant women, children, and people over 60 should stay away from neem.

5 grams of Phyllanthus Niruri also known as a stone breaker

How to eat it: Use a mortar and pestle to make a fine paste out of 5 grammes of Phyllanthus Niruri leaves. Take it in the morning when you are hungry.

Benefits: The leaves of Phyllanthus Niruri help break up stones in the kidneys and gall bladder. It makes your liver stronger, boosts your immune system, and helps fight Hepatitis B. Phyllanthus Niruri can also be taken as a capsule.

Freshly peeled ginger

How to eat it: Before your meal, eat 1/2 inch of freshly peeled ginger.

Ginger is good for you because it calms inflammation and fights free radicals. The herb gets your metabolism going and helps your body fight off sickness.

Amala or gooseberry

How to eat it: Every day, on an empty stomach, eat one amala.

Benefits: Amla, also called Indian gooseberry, is full of Vitamin C, beta-carotene, and antioxidants, which help boost the immune system. 1 amla is equal to 20 citric fruit.

Giloy and Brahmi

How to eat it: You can get juice from Giloy and Brahmi, which is easy to find in stores. They can also be taken as capsules.

Benefits: Use these herbs every day to improve your immune system, memory, strength, and intelligence.

Keep in mind that these herbs make the body hot, and to lessen the effect, drink buttermilk after lunch.
